Members voted on the Tentative Agreement for the 2016-2019 M.O.U. and voted 98% in favor of ratification!!!
After many months of negotiating with the City of Phoenix, filing
impasse and going before a Fact Finder we have reached a Tentative
Agreement for a three-year contract with the City. It will be for full
restoration of all economic concessions taken since 2010.
First Year – Total Compensation Restoration – 1.9%
Second Year – Total Compensation Restoration – 1%
Third Year – Total Compensation Restoration – 1.3%
Union Members are invited to attend informational meetings to
discuss the specifics of the contract on Thursday, May 5 th at noon and
5:30 P.M. at the union office located at 3909 North 16 th Street in
Phoenix. The Negotiations Team recommendation is to restore 40
hours of furlough (with 8-hour Holiday furlough first) and restore part
of the wage concession in Year 1. In Year 2 - restore the remaining
furloughs with another wage restoration. In Year 3 - restore the
benefits (vacation buyback, comp time conversion, linguistic pay and
deferred comp) with another wage restoration. We want to discuss
this plan with the members.
Ratification Vote will be on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 6 AM to 6 PM
for Members ONLY. Please bring picture ID. Voting will be held at the
union office located at 3909 North 16 th Street in Phoenix. Voting must
be done in person.
